Bridge City Mercantile brings style to the Fremont neighborhood with their grand opening August 4th. The opening coincides with the Fremont Fair which is a great event for kids, adults, and pets. The event starts with a 5k run, includes a parade for families and their pets (honestly this is my favorite part), and 11 blocks of local vendors and music.

The Mississippi Street Fair truly is the quintessential Portland Festival. The food vendors lived up to the national write-ups, the merchandise vendors products were unique and finely crafted, and the beer was delicious. Well, at least that’s what I heard. I was too busy trying to keep up with my dwindling inventory to stop and have a drink. Luckily, Josh showed up in the afternoon to deliver lunch.
It was a beautiful sunny day and I even got to work on my tan a little with the evening sun. Everyone who stopped by was so warm and friendly. It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces and catch up with friends who I haven’t seen in a while. The highlight for me was when customers from last year told me that the earrings they had bought were still their favorites, that’s so good to hear!
That’s it for festivals for Frawn until this winter, you can find my items on etsy and in the shops listed on the home page. We are now selling in Kitkitdizzi in Nevada City California and Bunky in Phoenix, Arizona. I’ll highlight each of these shops in future posts.
Have a great summer!

Come check us out at the Mississippi Street fair in Portland this Saturday. We will have a booth south of Failing Ave, north of Beech. There is plenty of entertainment for all ages with 5 stages hosting 32 bands, a kids corner, 250 vendors, craft beer garden, and a rib off competition. With the sunny weather it should be a great place to be outdoors.
SATURDAY, JULY 14TH, 2012 – 10AM-9PM
