Cool Holiday Gift Ideas

In case you missed the Splendorporium event, I wanted to share my favorite merchandise that was being sold by some wonderful vendors. If you are looking for unique gift ideas you should definitely check out these items.
Lisa Gastelum creates beautiful beaded spheres that are hand-woven with tiny glass seed beads. Not only does she weave the beads, but she also create most of the sterling silver components that encircle, run through and top the spheres. She states on her website that for her ‘… it is all about her love of texture and color, and the power of tiny colors coming together to create something larger’. You must check out her jewelry, each piece is truly a work of art. Here is her website: http://www.etsy.com/shop/tqbdesigns
My other favorite booth was Secondhand Notes. They make one of a kind mobile ipod players that out of recycled boxes and found metal parts. For example, the yellow box below uses a floor drain for the speaker openeing. The craftmanship is superb with a great attention to detail. When you open the box to change the battery you will find that the wire and cords are neatly organized within the box. You can contact the creators at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mom and I had fun with her Devers jewelry display and my Frawn jewelry booth. We passed the time playing Bananagrams and getting goofy after sitting for 8 hours in one spot and eating maple bacon waffles. At one point I think I terrified a man walking in front of my husband when I threatened to kiss him! I blushed and laughed along with everyone else as I tried to explain that I meant that guy behind him who had just turned the corner and disappeared (slapping forhead!).
Be sure to check out the next awesome Frawn booth location at the Fremont Festival of Lights this Saturday and you can even see Santa! http://beaumontbba.com/in-the-news/fremont-festival-of-lights#
