The Fremont Festival has come and gone…whew! I made some sales but not as much as I was hoping for after the super successful Mississppi Street Fair. The crowd was a wonderful, friendly group of people who were fun to chat with throughout the day. My mom and I lucked out with a prime parking spot only 1/2 block away so packing up was a snap! The day started out gray and full of clouds and by the end of the fair the clouds cleared and the sunshine streamed in. Once again we were happy to see so many sweet dogs with their fabulous owners. I decided to do a dogumentary to show off the canine crowd.
The festival began with a race around the neighborhood which included runners of all ages. This was followed by a cute little parade led by a fire truck and then a dog and bike group….
I used this as an opportunity to test out some new items and get some objective feedback. Here are the new pieces….
I tried to make the most of my time and assembled as many earrings and necklaces as I could. The long bubble necklace sold immediately to a fellow St. Johns resident so I made a duplicate of that piece while I sat at the booth.
Radish Underground has re-stocked and is featuring bikes this month. So please check out the bike cuff links and bike belt buckles that they are show casing.
That’s all for now, please let me know what you think of the new merchandise!

Burn, sand, spray, assemble, go, go, go!! I’m in the frenzy of production as I prepare for the upcoming Fremont Festival. I can’t believe it is almost here! Here is a link to check out the event, it’s a packed day with a huge variety of fun things to do this Saturday from 10:00am – 5:00pm:
I have actually never been to this festival before, but I’m hoping the Frawn collection is received as well as it was at the Mississippi Street Fair. I’m making some new lines that I am going to test out on the crowd. I’m working with more abstract designs and trying to add some color as well. There’s a line called ‘bubbles’ which is clustered circle formations (obviously right?). Sometimes they are perfectly symmetrical and other times they are a little off, the latter are my favorite so what does that say about me, hmm… The other line involves black stain and spray paint, and you’ll just have to stop by to check those out! 🙂
We got back yesterday from a weekend trip to Yakima, Washington to visit Josh’s family. I have been struggling with a cold that I picked up in my weakened state after a big deadline at work. So I got to sleep in the car while Josh drove all the way home. I felt better after resting so I sanded a bunch of earrings and Josh mowed the lawn. It was was finally the perfect sunny day that we have all been waiting for!
