Thank you Mississippi Street Fair

I had a wonderful day at the Mississippi Street Fair yesterday and from the looks of it about 30,000 others did as well. The weather was sunny and perfect after a couple sketchy gray days that made me worry a little. Many good friends stopped by including the Angry Ort band who rocked the main stage that the afternoon. Please check their music out if you haven’t, I’ve added their link to the main blog page it’s worth a click. My mother shared my booth with her beaded jewelry, bags, and photographs (you can also find a link to her blog as well). My husband Josh made food runs for us and helped us with the major take down process. We tested out a new display with canvas and pieces of wood from our cherry tree. It was a great way to re-use some junk in the basement and prune the cherry tree.

We had a steady stream of friendly visitors both human and animals. The dogs loved our cool tent and we loved their cuteness so we happily watched the furry ones while their owners perused our products. Every time I do something like this where I am interacting with the public it’s always so much fun to talk with people and get their feedback and hear their stories. There are so many interesting people out there doing fun creative things, it’s inspirational. I had numerous people tell me that they already had pairs of my earrings. One woman had four pairs!

I was hoping to have a shadow box ready to sell but sadly, my skills stop at anything electrical. I had such great feedback about it I am going to try to make a couple more. So I am still looking for a good way to light the box. If you have any advice on this please share, I can use some help. Hopefully it will be all ready for the next event.

My mom and I will be at the Freemont Festival August 6th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm so please look for us there. I will have some lockets and new products to test out as well as the always popular St. Johns bridge.

Where Am I?
